Because this is a natural based soap it does have a thin consistency and a slighly higher PH than commercial soaps. Pound for pound it will clean as well as "thicker" regular grocery store detergent soaps. If the consistency and PH where changed it would no longer be a "Natural Soap" but a Detergent!
